Cornwall Community Hospital is very pleased to host the 7th Annual Cornwall Triathlon to be held August 22 & 23, 2009. The previous six years has seen a steady growth of participants for both the youth races on Saturday and adult races on Sunday.

The Cornwall Hospital Triathlon offers a unique experience that sets it apart from other triathlons in the area. Partnering with the City of Cornwall the Cornwall Hospital Triathlon features traffic free courses in the city core on both event days.

Saturday events include a Duathlon of varying distances for ages 13 & under and a Triathlon of varying distances with a pool swim for ages 7-13. The Sunday events include Try-A-Tri, Sprint, Olympic and Sprint Relay Triathlon distances as well as a new Sprint Duathlon in 2009.

The Cornwall Hospital Triathlon has seen a marked increase in out-of-town athletes choosing Cornwall as their destination to compete. We attribute this interest to the fact that our race course is challenging and safe and is supported by a great team of volunteers. Each year we receive numerous compliments from athletes who have raced elsewhere and tell us how well organized this event is.
