Course Description:
Swim: The swim course is in the St. Lawrence River 150m from transition.  The swim course is aided by Cornwall Fire water rescue, Kayaks and lifeguards.  Try-a-tri course is 200m in length.  The Sprint and Olympic courses cover 1 and 2 loops of the 750m Loop.  Exit from the swim course is onto a carpeted shore line then a short sharp incline to the run into transition.  The water temperature in the St. Lawrence River is typically 72-74 degrees Fahrenheit  and allows for the use of wetsuits in all events.

Bike: The bike course is held on closed roads along the St. Lawrence River in Cornwall.  The course is slightly rolling but technical.  The bike course is 10km in length.  The course heads east out of transition to a turn around near Boundary Road.  Heading west the course enters into the Nav Canada Training Institute for a circular loop of the building.  Once back on Montreal Road, continue to head west to a left turn on Marlborough St. This slight downhill is the fastest part of the course and winds through Cornwall's Historical Cotton Mill district returning to Montreal Road for the eastward ride back to the transition area. The Try-A-Tri race complete 1 loop, the Sprint Tri and Du complete 2 loops and the Olympic distance competitors will complete 4 loops.  Note: There is a 300m section of the course just east of the transition that narrows to allow vehicle access to the Glen-Stor-Dun Lodge faciltiy.

Run: The run is held on the beautiful recreational path along the banks of the St. Lawrence River.  The run course is slightly rolling and 5km in length.  The first Sprint Duathlon run will head west along the bike course on an out-and-back route.  The first Sprint Duathlon run will enter transition in the same manner as the bike-in.  After the bike portion has been completed all runs head east along the recreational path.  The Try-A-Tri race completes 1 loop of a 2.5km course,  The Sprint Tri/Du/Relay complete 1 loop of the 5km course and the Olympic distance racers will complete 1 loop of the 10km course.
